I've always been skeptical about frame generation, so much so that for the first couple of years, I didn't even bother testing it on my RTX 4090 outside of benchmark runs. Sure, it was impressive to see the FPS counter almost double while monitoring in MSI Afterburner, but games never felt like they were actually running at those frame rates. For starters, I don’t have to waste extra bucks on subscription fees or paid licenses just to unlock paywalled features. Likewise, since my data remains entirely on my local servers, I don’t have to worry about large corporations gaining access to private files and using them to train AI features that nobody asked for.
