I’ve tried more Notion alternatives than I probably needed to. Every time I look around, AFFiNE and AppFlowy seem to be the names everyone recommends. They look polished, offer plenty of features, and make a strong case for moving away from Notion. But I found myself going in a different direction. I started using Outline, and unlike many other tools I’ve tested, I never felt the urge to replace it. It isn’t the loudest or most exciting app in this space. In fact, calling it boring is probably fair. But there’s something refreshing about software that doesn’t constantly try to win my attention.
