3D printer upgrades usually start with hardware because it’s easy to picture. A better hotend sounds faster, a hardened nozzle sounds tougher, and a new extruder promises cleaner prints with less drama. Those upgrades can absolutely matter, and on the right machine, they can make a noticeable difference. Still, the biggest improvement I ever made didn’t come from swapping metal parts on the printer itself.
