Having used air coolers for over 20 years, I wanted to switch to an AIO liquid cooler when building my current PC three years ago. There was probably no real justification for picking a white AIO over an air cooler, but I preferred the esthetic, and thought my CPU would love the extra cooling. Little did I know that things were about to go very wrong. Not only did I waste money on a needless AIO, but it also turned out to be worse-performing than a budget air cooler. The novelty of the white design didn’t last long either, thanks to discoloration and highly visible dust deposits.
