As a journalist, I spend a lot of time taking notes. Whether I'm outlining an article or gathering pointers for an in-depth guide, typing thousands of words a day gets tedious real quick. I've previously dabbled in Otter for transcription. It worked fine, but as soon as I started talking fast, it failed to capture my accent. So, I started looking for an alternative.

If you've been keeping up with gaming news, you'll know that there has been a huge wave of decompiled games being ported to PC. For instance, we recently saw Super Smash Bros. Melee unofficially arrive on PC, Android, and Linux because people used AI to decompile it and make it natively runnable on things that aren't a GameCube.

Part of the reason for that, and what people usually assume, is that Linux doesn't have a meaningful market share for attackers to target with sophisticated malware or attacks.
