Getting a stable wired connection to a device that’s a floor above your home router is a challenge, and I know this pain all too well. My current living arrangement is a rental, and as a result, I have very few options for running cables. I could run a very long Ethernet cable across floors and baseboards, but it’s a bit of an eyesore. The other option was a powerline adapter, which was something I had dismissed for many years after trying one in a previous house. I had a**umed that my dodgy experience was just the norm with these adapters, and that they were more of a last-ditch method, but I really couldn’t have been more wrong.
