I've been using Windows for many years now, but I wasn’t too sure about installing it on my main computer. So I decided to install Zorin OS as my first Linux distro on a 16-year-old HDD instead. I have to admit that the experience has been better than I expected, and the more I use it, the more I like it. I realized the Zorin OS gave me enough of the things I was looking for to keep using it instead of going back to Windows. The differences I found were enough to keep me interested for now.

Claude Code is useful right out of the box, but it didn’t really click for me until I stopped treating it like a clever terminal app. The real shift came when I started using hooks to make it behave more like part of my own workspace. Not a whole new personality, not a maze of novelty commands, and not some grand automation altar I’d have to keep dusting. Just a few small rules that made it respond to the way I already work.

Note-taking apps have been trying to top one another for years by releasing new features. To me, a lot of it feels like unnecessary flash that I didn't ask for. My workflow wasn't suffering because of a lack of GUI features, so I didn't pay much attention to who was revamping their interface. The real bottleneck was switching to the GUI at all. Every time I needed to log a quick thought, it'd require alt+tabbing into the right window and clicking into a certain note before I could jot down my thoughts and get back to what I was doing.

Building a PC is an enjoyable and rewarding process, but things can go wrong. On June 10th, a few months after Asha Sharma took over as CEO, she and newly-promoted chief content officer Matt Booty sent a memo to staff warning of an “Xbox reset.” The business, they said, is facing significant challenges, including a 3 percent “accountability margin,” massively higher component prices for consoles due to the memory and storage shortage, and an “over extended” studio system.That same day, The Verge and Bloomberg reported that the Xbox division was planning layoffs in July. The cuts, expected to be announced on July 6th, could include studio closures or spinoffs.
