When you’re building a PC, it’s always better to have more motherboard headers than you know what to do with. Connecting the CPU cooler fans, case fans, RGB devices, front I/O, and more becomes more flexible over time if you’re not running out of motherboard headers. That said, most PC builders never actually use their motherboard headers except for the devices I just mentioned. Your motherboard probably has a few headers that you never discovered, let alone made use of. These headers, while relevant for niche use cases, can be game-changing for your build, depending on the age of your PC, the workloads you run, and your penchant for system monitoring. Not every header on this list will apply to every user, but you might still discover one that you can realistically use.
