Well, it's finally here. After OpenClaw set the world on fire in late 2025 and showed us all what an agentic system can do, companies have been scrambling to get their own automatic assistant out the door.

I've always preferred Android phones to iOS since college, when I'd spend hours designing Zooper Widgets on a Galaxy S4 to create a good-looking setup limited only by my imagination, the app's features, and device battery life. Until very recently, the OS wasn't a pain point. It was only when I tried unlocking the bootloader on a Xiaomi phone around 2020 that I realized how cumbersome it was to email the company and wait. For power users, the ability to compile an open-source tool, host it on a personal server, and install it on a daily driver without asking a massive corporation for permission seems fundamental to their digital rights.

Unlike a lot of people, I was never into playing video games. Sure, I’ve played a bunch of Minecraft (who hasn’t), but I never sunk that much time into any other titles. Sony ended its big State of Play showcase with a major reveal: the next God of War. The new title is called God of War Laufey, and is once again developed by Sony's Santa Monica Studio. When running multiple services, platforms, and operating systems, one wouldn't be blamed for immediately considering virtual machines (VMs). They're easy to set up and forget, but there are some problems that arise from using multiple VMs within a home lab setting. With the increased availability of Linux containers (LXCs), largely with Proxmox and the release of TrueNAS 26, there's almost a better way for running self-hosted services. Linux containers won't be the greatest choice for everything, but I moved most of my home server to LXCs, and I'm not looking back.

Control Resonant, the upcoming sequel to Remedy Entertainment's Control, will be released on September 24th, 2026, according to a trailer that premiered during Tuesday's PlayStation State of Play show.The trailer also gave a preview of the game's story, which stars Dylan Faden, who was imprisoned for much of the first game. While the majority of Summer Game Fest takes place over the weekend, Sony is getting a jump on things with its next State of Play showcase, which airs on June 2nd at 5PM ET. It’s coming at a pivotal time for the PlayStation brand: The PS5 keeps getting more expensive and Sony’s big bet on live-service games has largely fallen flat. A good showing at SGF won’t fix everything, but it could help show that PlayStation is on the right path moving forward.For its part, Sony says its latest State of Play will feature “more than 60 minutes of updates, announcements, and gameplay reveals from top studios around the world.” The only confirmed part of the event’s lineup is Wolverine, from Spider-Man developer Insomniac, which is slated to launch in September. But given the length of the stream, there’ll be plenty more detailed.
