Nvidia’s mid-range segment may not exist next generation, and the reason isn’t what you’d expect
In the beginning of August, I published a rather alarming piece arguing that GDDR7 pricing and the overarching DRAM crisis were holding Nvidia's RTX 50-series refresh hostage. It now looks like the problem may be bigger than a delayed refresh, however, because there's growing evidence that an entire segment of Nvidia's GeForce RTX lineup is poised to find itself in what can only be described as an existential crisis.
