Your old storage rules are slowing down your PC, and you don’t even know it
In the mid-2010s, when I entered high school and started taking PC (and gaming) seriously, the one thing I remember being most obsessed with was storage. One could argue that it was an obsession borne out of necessity, since I ran with a 500GB SATA HDD for much of the 2010s, and most of the time, cleanup sessions and optimization were almost written in stone for each weekend. To be fair, it was also a time when hardware really did need plenty of babysitting.
