For the past few years, Google has been working on implementing Manifest V3 in its Chrome browser. This change is anticipated to significantly impact ad blockers, which means that a sizable portion of Chrome's end-users may also be affected. Manifest V3 is Google's biggest revamp to the extensions platform, which is notable from the fact that Manifest V2 was launched back in 2012. With the rollout of V3 now on the horizon, the firm has started automatically disabling extensions which don't align with its latest platform version.

It's easy to criticize Microsoft for adding a lot of things to Windows 11 that we don't really want or need. Whether it's a Copilot app, a new Outlook app that's not very good, or a news feed filled with terrible articles, there's plenty to complain about. But Microsoft does add great features to Windows every now and then, and sometimes, I feel like they can be severely overlooked because everyone is fine using their PC the away they always have.

The 14-day Game Pass trial was removed on October 8th, preventing people from signing up for a trial and playing through the Black Ops 6 campaign without paying for a full month of Game Pass.Microsoft first stopped its $1 trial for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass in March last year, before bringing it back and nerfing it down to just 14 days instead of a full month. Intel launched its Arrow Lake family of processors in the latter half of 2024 to compete against AMD's Ryzen 9000 range. The Intel Core Ultra 9 285K and AMD Ryzen 9 9950X are powerful flagship CPUs far beyond what most people require for their PC. Should you need either chip for your system, there are notable differences in the architectures, sockets, threads, and other specifications. Choosing the best one for your PC depends on the platform you wish to use. They're both excellent processors, at least on paper. We still have to get the new Intel Core Ultra range on our test benches, but we have no doubt Intel will be able to match AMD.
