Honor may not be the first name you think of when you think of high-end laptops, but at this year's IFA, the company introduced the all-new MagicBook Art 14, a laptop that feels like a true breath of fresh air in terms of design. In fact, the design alone is what drove me to write this very article. On top of top-tier performance, particularly when it comes to the Snapdragon variant, this is looking to be a fantastic laptop to both look at and use, and I'm very curious to see more.

In an industry that tends to get so repetitive so easily, it's always exciting when a laptop shows up that tries something new. And Acer definitely brought something interesting to the table this year, even if it's only a concept. The Acer DualPlay is a gaming laptop that, at first, looks just like any other, but it hides an ingenious secret: the touchpad can be removed, and it becomes a gaming controller.

Microsoft aims to make a statement by jumping from the Surface Pro 9 directly up to the Surface Pro 11, just like it did when skipping from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10. If you ignore the confusing (and only peripherally relevant) release of the Surface Pro 10 for Business, this is Microsofts first new Surface Pro device to be made widely available in two years. Their leap ahead in version number should indicate that this is no iterative update.

The PC case market seems to be in a state of stagnation with nothing released to push the competition further. It's the same old Lian Li O11 Dynamic clone affair, but thankfully NZXT is attempting to perfect its popular H7 Flow with a small redesign to get even more cool air inside the chassis for better thermal management. This 2024 version of the NZXT H7 Flow makes a few changes, notably the bottom panel, the PSU shroud, and the chassis feet. The rest of the case is almost identical to its predecessor, which isn't a negative as the H7 Flow was a gorgeous platform.

The Verge Negotiations for a new carriage deal between Disney and DirecTV are continuing into this weekend, reports Deadline. Meanwhile, the two are lobbing messaging at customers who are left out in the cold as the first NFL weekend kicks off.It’s been a week since DirecTV customers have been able to watch channels like ABC or ESPN. Disney published posts on Instagram and elsewhere, Variety wrote, pointing DirecTV viewers to alternatives like Spectrum or Disney’s own Hulu with live TV subscription to watch things like the US Open tennis tournament or the upcoming Monday Night Football game between the Jets and the 49ers. The return ended the Starliner’s most recent flight test months later than intended and leaves its original crew, NASA astronauts Barry “Butch” Wilmore and Suni Williams, aboard the International Space Station until next year.The Starliner touched down right on time at 12:01 AM ET at White Sands Space Harbor in New Mexico, according to NASA.
