But its easy to overlook some of the tech happening behind the scenes, such as DNS, that can affect the speed of our network. After months of rumors and speculations, Apple officially unveiled iOS 18 at WWDC 2024. The beta OS is already available to try on eligible devices. While features like home screen customization options and Apple Intelligence dominated the presentation slides, Apple quietly included several handy add-ons to improve your day-to-day experience with your iPhone. Lets talk about the top hidden iOS 18 features and changes that Apple didn't actually mention on stage.

Apple's macOS Sequoia, otherwise known as macOS 15, has officially been announced as the follow-up to Sonoma. It's the first to feature new Apple Intelligence, Apple's take on AI, along with deep ChatGPT integration. It has tons of other cool features, too, like iPhone Mirroring that lets you view and interact with your iPhone from your Mac screen. What some users don't know is that you can test macOS Sequoia, as you can with all upcoming OS versions, prior to the public, stable release. All you have to do is install the beta version of macOS Sequoia on your compatible Mac (2019 or later iMac, 2022 or later Mac Studio, 2018 or later Mac Mini, 2019 or later Mac Pro, 2017 iMac Pro, 2020 or later MacBook Air, and 2018 or later MacBook Pro) by following the steps below. Note that Apple Intelligence features will only work on Apple Silicon Macs with an M1, M2, or M3 chip, not older Intel-based Macs.

In years gone by, you were crazy if you used a Windows machine without an anti-virus. Microsoft Defender was a passable-at-best firewall and that's about it, whereas even free anti-virus programs would run rings around Microsoft's own first-party option that's built into Windows. Nowadays that's no longer quite the case, and for most people, I'd argue that Microsoft Defender is more than good enough.

The new tier will reportedly cost $5 extra and will also come with tools to help users create playlists and manage music libraries.A source familiar with Spotify tells Bloomberg that users will be able to add the HiFi audio tier to their existing plans. If added to the Spotify Premium plan, which goes up in price to $11.99 next month, it will cost $16.99. Bloomberg reports that the add-on will also give users the ability to generate custom playlists for specific activities, dates, and times of year. Back in March, Microsoft began rolling out GPT Builder in Copilot Pro for consumers broadly. The tool enables customers to build and configure customized GPTs for specialized use-cases. Nintendo Switch users can no longer link the console with their X accounts. | Photo by James Bareham / The Verge As of June 10th, Nintendo has officially discontinued support for the Switch console’s integration with X (formerly Twitter), making it the last of the current-gen consoles to do so after Microsoft and Sony disabled their own access last year. The integration was removed as part of the Nintendo Switch’s 18.1.0 update, taking away the ability for users to link their X account with the console, or post in-game screenshots from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate directly to the social media platform.
