French Gates, who will officially leave on June 7th, will continue her philanthropy elsewhere, to the tune of $12.5 billion. The money stems from an agreement with her ex-husband, Bill Gates, and does not come from the foundation’s endowment. Let's look closer at the Alienware x16 R2 and x16 R1 and see whether or not the new model deserves your cash.

Remember when comparing Google's Gemini to ChatGPT just how much faster Gemini was? OpenAI clearly didn't like that, because GPT-4o is so much faster than GPT-4 ever was that it makes GPT-4 look archaic in comparison. We've been testing out GPT-4o for a little while since it launched, and the difference is staggering. As you can see even in the above video, asking GPT-4o to generate a CSV took less than a minute, whereas GPT-4 took nearly as long to just generate the cities being used in the example.

I would like to begin this review by admitting something to you. In my initial hands-on article about the 2024 iPad Pro (written after an hour of demos in a controlled environment), I raved about the new iPad Pro's sleeker form factor, superior OLED screen, and better accessories. While all of those praises are still technically true, now that I've had a week to actually use it, I am not sure if they make a big enough difference that M2 iPad Pro owners really need to upgrade.

Google has two big operating systems; Android and ChromeOS. The former is mostly found on portable devices, while the latter usually appears on larger devices like ChromeOS tablets, PCs, and laptops. And while the two of them happily live separate from one another, the tech giant wants both of them to work together well. This has prompted Google to show off ChomeOS running off of an Android phone, but don't expect to see it on your own portable devices anytime soon.

Depending on why you ask, there are numerous reasons why some people believe that Microsoft Edge is the best web browser. On the contrary, though, there is another set of people that outright reject it for issues like not being able to easily change the default browser as well as the search engine. While time will tell whether Microsoft manages to address major issues in the Edge browser, the software giant is actively working on removing the creator-tracking feature for allegedly putting users' privacy at risk.

Apple’s latest high-end tablet is a marvel of hardware design still in need of the software and accessories to really make it sing. But wow is it fun to use. Continue reading…
