At 12:31PM ET, Google wrote on Gmail’s Workspace Status Dashboard that “customers impacted by this issue may see delay in sending the emails,” but at 5:03PM ET, the company posted an update that indicates things are fixed.According to that update, “the issue with email delays was mitigated for the majority of affected users at [2:45PM ET]” and that “a few users may have observed delays until the full mitigation was done at [4:15PM ET].” Google says it plans to publish an analysis of what went wrong after it completes an investigation.The issues affected at least two of us here at The Verge. Developer Mozilla has announced that from December 14th, any extension marked as “Android compatible” on Mozilla’s add-ons site will be available to download and use with Firefox’s Android app.Although extensions have been available for use with Firefox on Android for over a decade, for the past three years users have had a limited selection to choose from after Mozilla rebuilt its Android app in 2020. Apple no longer pushes updates to macOS Mohave, as it reached the end of support a couple of years ago. However, that didn't stop Steam from continuing to support macOS Mohave and earlier all these years, giving users access to a vast catalog of games. But like every piece of software, Steam on macOS Mohave has its days numbered, as the company has made it official that it'll stop supporting macOS Mohave (10.14) and macOS High Sierra (10.13) come February 15, 2024.

Four years after its debut, the Tesla Cybertruck has finally reached its first batch of customers. The truck was delivered to about a dozen people during a lavish event at the company’s headquarters in Austin, Texas, at which Elon Musk predicted the truck would usher in a new, more exciting future.The company also provided updated details about the pricing, range, and features for the truck, much of which has changed significantly from the originally announced numbers. The rear-wheel drive version of the electric truck will start at $60,990 — up from the original price of $39,900 in 2019 — and will get 250 miles of range on a full charge. On Tuesday, Google confirmed in a Chrome stable channel update that it “is aware that an exploit for CVE-2023-6345 exists in the wild.” The vulnerability was discovered on November 24th by two security researchers working within Google’s Threat Analysis Group (TAG). Google hasn’t released many details about the CVE-2023-6345 exploit yet, but that’s to be expected. In a teardown video posted by iFixit, the team finds that only a little tinkering is required to access and remove the joysticks.The iFixit team first removes the device’s plastic frame and pries off its backing. It then takes off the panel containing the Portal’s D-pad and button controls, allowing iFixit to disassemble the thumbsticks in about three steps using just a screwdriver. The last time I used a gaming laptop as my primary machine was in 2019. I ditched it in a couple of years to build a gaming PC, and never looked back. I occasionally use gaming laptops that show up on the test bench for review, like the Lenovo LOQ 15 and the Alienware m16 R1 that I reviewed recently, but I really don't see myself buying a gaming laptop anytime soon. I say that because even the modern gaming laptops on the market these days haven't solved some of the major gripes I had with my personal gaming notebook back in the day. If anything, they've introduced some new issues that push me further away from the idea of owning a gaming laptop again.
