Since 2019, the semiconductor industry has been gradually moving to a new design philosophy for chips: chiplets. On the surface, it might seem like this is a fairly minor change, because all that's really happening is that a chip is being split up into smaller pieces. Well, it sounds like that new 24-inch iMac is on its way this month after all. Mark Gurman thinks so, having written in his Power On newsletter for Bloomberg today that it’s coming very soon — as early as October 30th, in fact. That would end, as Gurman notes, an over 900-day drought since the M1 iMac launched in the first half of 2021. One of the most important peripherals for any PC gamer is a quality gaming mechanical keyboard. While you can certainly game on a membrane keyboard, the feel and responsiveness of mechanical key switches give you an edge in competitive gaming. That's without mentioning the sound, which is glorious to anaficionados' ears while striking terror into the hearts of anyone else.
