The iPhone 15 series was released at the end of September after its initial announcement at the most recent Apple Event. The iPhone continues to be one of the best phones on the market because of its versatility, fast processing, and unique features, and the latest iPhone lineup from Apple has USB-C charging, features the Dynamic Island on all the phones, and there are five new colors to choose from.

It's been a pretty rough couple of years for PC enthusiasts due to the ongoing chip shortage. Buying a new excellent graphics card is still very difficult unless you're willing to pay a ridiculous amount of cash, even at MSRP. The best motherboards are similarly expensive, as are almost every other component that slots into them. This is why picking up a pre-built PC is still a viable way to own a computer in 2023. Sure, it's not going to reward you with the satisfaction of building your own PC, but at least you won't have to worry about the stocks or pay an absurd amount of money. There are plenty of reliable places to shop for pre-built PCs, and CyberPowerPC happens to be one of them. It's worth mentioning that 14th-gen Intel CPUs release later this year, so there could be even bigger deals to be had on earlier product lines.

The Universal Stylus Initiative (USI) defines industry-wide standards for interoperable communication between an active stylus and touch-enabled devices, such as phones, tablets, and computing and entertainment platforms. Writing with a USI stylus is in general a much better experience than capacitive styli as well.

If you recently made the move to ChromeOS from a Mac or Windows PC, the new keyboard layout can be confusing. It's been over five years since the first Windows on Arm PCs started showing up, but despite that long period, Arm-based Windows devices haven't caught on all that much, although Microsoft finally started taking it more seriously in 2022. It announced a native developer toolchain for Arm and even launched a new, more powerful Windows Dev Kit with an Arm processor. There are also Windows Arm PCs like the Surface Pro 9 with 5G and the Lenovo ThinkPad X13s, and soon, we'll have the brand-new Snapdragon X series of processors to deliver true high-end performance for Windows on Arm.

Back in June, Apple revealed macOS Sonoma during WWDC23's opening keynote. Since then, we've been testing this release on the latest Macs and trying out its new features. At this point, though, we've pretty much used all the new additions and changes, and we're already anticipating the upcoming major release. macOS 15 could be announced in early June, and while there is a lot to look forward to, there are five specific features I'd love to see.

Illustration: The Verge Caltech has had some ups (winning $1.1 billion) and some downs (losing the $1.1 billion award and being ordered to a trial on damages) since suing Apple and Broadcom in 2016 over Wi-Fi patents. Reuters reported this week that Caltech is dropping its yearslong lawsuit against Apple and Broadcom, about two months after the companies came to a “potential settlement.”Caltech wrote in a filing with a US District Court in California that it would drop its claims “with prejudice,” meaning it can’t refile its case, and asked that Broadcom do so as well, stating later that Broadcom “does not oppose this request.” Caltech also writes that it will dismiss its claims against Apple — again, “with prejudice.”The filing then says that Caltech... Windows Subsystem for Android is has been here for quite a while now. You can run it on any Windows 11 machine, though it comes preloaded with the Amazon Appstore instead of the Play Store. In case you're not happy with the mandatory Amazon Appstore integration, you should be happy to hear that the app sideloading process isn't difficult either. It is also possible to install a third-party Google Play Store client, but the lack of Google services in the Windows Subsystem for Android makes it a bit hard to use apps that are dependent on them, as we noted in our hands-on.
