The Trump administration’s crackdown on perceived left-wing threats following the death of Charlie Kirk continued on Monday evening, with Donald Trump announcing an executive order titled “Designating Antifa as a Domestic Terrorist Organization.” The order directs federal departments and agencies to “investigate, disrupt, and dismantle any and all illegal operations — especially those involving terrorist actions — conducted by Antifa or any person claiming to act on behalf of Antifa, or for which Antifa or any person claiming to act on behalf of Antifa provided material support.”The impact of the order is unclear, as experts have noted that “domestic terrorism” isn’t recognized or sanctioned in the way foreign terror groups are. Additionally, “antifa” is an unstructured anti-fascist movement, as Trump-appointed former FBI Director Christopher Wray told Congress in 2020 that antifa was not an organization, but a “movement or ideology.” Trump first said he would sign the order on Truth Social last week.Today’s order claims that “Antifa is a militarist, anarchist enterprise that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government,” with “coordinated efforts to obstruct enforcement of Federal laws through armed standoffs with law enforcement, organized riots, violent assaults on Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other law enforcement officers, and routine doxing of and other threats against political figures and activists.”Since Kirk’s shooting, there have been Republican commentators, politicians, and public officials calling for civil liberties crackdowns targeting speech and donations to liberal political causes. Today’s order goes hand in hand with the campaigns targeting employers, Big Tech companies, and late-night talk show hosts.

Windows updates often land with all the fanfare of a software license agreement. They are unceremonious and disruptive, and so many users I know put them off until a convenient weekend, when the PC sits idle and updates. We tend to assume most of the changes are arcane, under-the-hood tweaks that, while important, don't change how we interact with our machines. The Nintendo Direct presentation for September 2025 had many games to showcase. It was over an hour of new insight into what Nintendo has planned now that the Switch 2 is finally out and going into its first holiday season. Not only are there a ton of great games for Nintendo Switch 2 owners to play right now, but there's a lot more on the horizon. While most people are eagerly awaiting the release of major titles like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, the start of 2026 is looking to be even more exciting for Nintendo fans.

Palworld won’t hit 1.0 until next year, but developer Pocketpair is already announcing a farming spinoff: Palworld: Palfarm.Basically, it sounds like the Palworld version of farming simulator games like Stardew Valley. “Each Pal will lend a hand in farm work by making use of their unique abilities,” Pocketpair says in a press release. “From sowing seeds and watering to harvesting, Pals make for reliable partners. Deepen your relationships with the island residents and Pals through daily conversation and gift-giving, and you may discover unexpected, special stories unfolding.” You’ll also have to defend your farm from “some nasty Pals that come to wreak havoc.” Palfarm will support multiplayer so you can play with your friends, too. Pocketpair hasn’t provided a release date or saying what platforms the game will come to yet. But Palfarm continues Pocketpair’s efforts to branch out from the main Palworld game, which include a Palworld dating simulator and an indie publishing label.

Borderlands 4 may have been a highly anticipated game release for 2025, but the launch has been anything but smooth. Many people picked up the game on PC and consoles, hoping to dive into another crazy misadventure, this time taking place on the planet Kairos. But not everybody has been able to play the game without something unusual or buggy happening in it.
