I’ve been building PCs for around 20 years now, so I’ve had my fair share of squeezing in dirt-cheap components whenever I could. While it didn’t matter as much when I was working with shoestring budgets, I now make it a point not to cheap out on certain components. Saving money when building a PC is always important, but it shouldn’t come at the cost of compromising safety, reliability, performance, or esthetics. You might not be cheaping out on your CPU or graphics card, but it’s also worth paying attention to the other components.
