A persistent Windows 11 USB keeps your whole setup on a drive, and it’s more useful than a recovery disk
A Windows recovery drive is basically an OS reinstallation USB that helps you in dire times. Windows already has a great set of useful tools on the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) page that have helped me boot to the desktop again. But when these tools can't help, using a recovery drive becomes the only option to reinstall the OS. But there are a couple of problems. Firstly, you end up with an unusable system and cannot use it until the reinstallation completes. Even once it does, you still have a long time before you reinstall every app or tool you use.
