Well, it's finally here. After OpenClaw set the world on fire in late 2025 and showed us all what an agentic system can do, companies have been scrambling to get their own automatic assistant out the door.

When running multiple services, platforms, and operating systems, one wouldn't be blamed for immediately considering virtual machines (VMs). They're easy to set up and forget, but there are some problems that arise from using multiple VMs within a home lab setting. With the increased availability of Linux containers (LXCs), largely with Proxmox and the release of TrueNAS 26, there's almost a better way for running self-hosted services. Linux containers won't be the greatest choice for everything, but I moved most of my home server to LXCs, and I'm not looking back.

Let's say you're playing a competitive game on your ROG Ally X or Lenovo Legion Go. You drop your settings, cap the frame rate to 60fps, and lower the APU wattage to a conservative 12W. Yet somehow your battery percentage is still plummeting much faster than it does when you're playing a massive, visually demanding single-player title.

Unlike a lot of people, I was never into playing video games. Sure, I’ve played a bunch of Minecraft (who hasn’t), but I never sunk that much time into any other titles. But given the length of the stream, there’ll be plenty more detailed. Maybe we’ll see the just-announced third expansion for The Witcher 3, or the long-awaited final installment of the Final Fantasy VII remake trilogy, or some more of Intergalactic, the next big project from The Last of Us developer Naughty Dog. At its big State of Play show on Tuesday, Sony shared new look Marvel's Wolverine, the next big title from Insomniac Games that's launching exclusively on PS5 on September 15th. Dressed in the iconic yellow Wolverine outfit, Logan slunk around and stabbed his way through a bunch of enemies, using his blades to take them out. Combat looked weighty and satisfying - though the game is extremely bloody, with red flying everywhere as Logan fought his opponents. I've always preferred Android phones to iOS since college, when I'd spend hours designing Zooper Widgets on a Galaxy S4 to create a good-looking setup limited only by my imagination, the app's features, and device battery life. Until very recently, the OS wasn't a pain point. It was only when I tried unlocking the bootloader on a Xiaomi phone around 2020 that I realized how cumbersome it was to email the company and wait. For power users, the ability to compile an open-source tool, host it on a personal server, and install it on a daily driver without asking a massive corporation for permission seems fundamental to their digital rights.

Sony ended its big State of Play showcase with a major reveal: the next God of War. The new title is called God of War Laufey, and is once again developed by Sony's Santa Monica Studio. Currently, the game doesn't have a date, but it's coming to the PS5 whenever it does launch.This time, instead of perpetually furious dad Kratos, players will take control of Faye / Laufey, as the title implies. Now, according to reports from Android Authority, Google is planning to reduce storage for new unverified accounts to just 5GB. You must provide a phone number to get 15GB free data. This makes it harder to rely on free Google accounts as a long-term storage solution.
