I've naturally come to lean toward typing my notes out because of the nature of my job. However, I still prefer handwritten notes for anything I really want to think through. There’s just something about scribbling messy thoughts onto a page, circling things, drawing arrows between ideas, and squeezing extra notes into whatever space is left that typing has never managed to replicate for me.

The Type 01, Jaguar's most important and divisive car in years, has arrived. The production follow-up to the polarising Type 00 concept, Jaguar says the electric, four-door grand tourer is its most powerful road car ever.Even though the Type 00's design chief was reportedly fired earlier this year, most of its aesthetic has carried over to the final car, for better or worse. You can't buy it in that hot Miami pink though - didn't anyone tell them GTA VI is almost here? It has the same low-slung silhouette, extended side-profile, and huge 23-inch wheels as the prototype, though shifting to a four-door design makes those proportions feel mor …Read the full story at The Verge.

For years, 16GB of RAM was the easy recommendation. Somewhere in the past five years, though, 32GB became the new baseline, and rightly so. With almost every peripheral demanding an app of its own on your PC to be open, browser bloat running unchecked, Windows hardly getting lighter, and modern games being bigger than ever, 32GB is inarguably the sweet spot when it comes to PC building in 2026.

When Amazon announced that it would be pulling support from the older Kindle models, people considered using third-party tools to put books on them. However, as time went on, people discovered that these devices, despite their age, still make for a pretty amazing e-ink display when jailbroken. Such is the case of this project that turns a 6th-generation Kindle Paperwhite into a desk assistant, which shows just how capable these 2010-era devices are.

Common Sense Media, a nonprofit that offers reviews of apps, services, and entertainment with a focus on youth safety, today said that OpenAI's ChatGPT for Teens is an "unacceptable risk."ChatGPT for Teens, introduced in August, has guardrails for teens and is designed to help students learn, but Common Sense Media says that the teen protections offered by the feature "fall short of what the company promised." Common Sense Media's assessment found that ChatGPT "doesn't send alerts to parents when it should," doesn't offer "the right help in crisis situations," and "still does kids' homework," according to a press release."ChatGPT for Tee …Read the full story at The Verge.

It's hard to imagine productivity without a little bit of AI magic these days. Most developers, designers, advertisers, and content creators swear by at least one model in their workflow, and most of the time, rarely ever see any reason to make a switch. That's because when you're a paying customer, you're subscribed to an entire AI ecosystem, and letting go of one ecosystem in favor of another is a migration hassle that no one wants to go through.

Linux runs nearly everything I need now, and for that reason, it's my daily driver OS. There are exceptions, and they're almost exclusively games that require an anti-cheat client that doesn't play well with Linux. These are games like EA Sports FC 27, Escape From Tarkov, Battlefield 6, and most other competitive games. Those games also happen to be some of my most played titles, which is why I've kept around a Windows install on a second drive for the better part of a couple of years.

If you want to get a lot done within Google's productivity ecosystem, but you'd rather use Claude to get the job done, Anthropic has just announced the ideal solution for you. It's called Claude for Google Workspace, and as you might imagine, it gives your favorite LLM access to all your Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides for easy access.

OpenAI has revealed solutions to a number of long-standing mathematics problems produced by an unreleased frontier model in a batch of 722 manuscripts, covering 372 result families that group related papers. It extends a run of breakthroughs that have both impressed and unsettled parts of the mathematical community while raising questions about research ethics and academic conduct. According to AGMAI, the newly formed independent advisory group of elite mathematicians put together to work on communicating the results responsibly, the release includes solutions to "hundreds" of open questions. The results have been expected for weeks, althou …Read the full story at The Verge.

Whenever Claude Code finishes a build, it will let you know, and the file usually opens and will mostly work. What it doesn't tell you is what's off with the first look, and if you don't actually write code, like me, then there isn't much to check it against. Reading line by line isn't realistic for me so I have to rely on testing the build and asking the agent what's happening underneath.
