I used GPT-5.5 to figure out why my laptop battery was draining, and it found the bug in minutes
I upgraded to macOS 27 Golden Gate Beta 2 after coming back from vacation, tired and just wanting to get back to work. I had been using the first beta without a hitch, and I was excited to see what the new beta had to offer. However, within a couple of hours, my M4 Pro MacBook Pro was getting uncomfortably hot and the battery was dropping ridiculously fast, from 100% to about 40% in two hours. I closed Affinity first since it's a known battery drainer, but that made no difference. The laptop stayed hot, the fans kicked in, and I figured I'd sort it out later.
