CES 2025 is almost here, and we're expecting Nvidia to unveil the RTX 5000 series, AMD to show us what the next generation of Radeon GPUs will be called, and a bunch of other PC hardware that'll be ripe for upgrading to this year. It should be a wonderful time with the future of PC gaming on display with everything consumers will be able to buy later on in stores. But this year isn't normal, and really, no technology release for a while has.

Most CES pre-briefings consist of a short rundown of the products followed by stations where you get to go hands-on with them, but Dell's was different this year. This time around, the company held a full-on keynote with Michael Dell himself, where the firm announced that it's killing off all of its branding on its laptops, consolidating them into one brand. And the brand is...Dell.

After months of rumors and leaks, we now know officially that big things are coming from Samsung on January 22. The brand has announced that its next Galaxy Unpacked event will take place just a couple of weeks from now in San Jose, California. As you can imagine, the company is pretty tight-lipped about what we can expect, only sharing that there's more to come with its upcoming Galaxy S series devices and Galaxy AI.

Not long after the still-in-beta feature launched in the UK in December, the news organization complained about how it rewrote a headline about the UnitedHealthcare shooting suspect, incorrectly suggesting that the BBC reported Luigi Mangione shot himself. Since then, according to the BBC, Apple’s summaries had incorrectly rewritten notifications from its app to name a PDC World Darts Championship winner before the event even started and falsely claiming that Rafael Nadal revealed himself as gay. “These AI summarisations by Apple do not reflect – and in some cases completely contradict – the original BBC content,” writes the outlet.The BBC reports that Apple said in a statement, “A software update in the coming weeks will further clarify when the text being displayed is summarization provided by Apple Intelligence.”Apple Intelligence has had its funny moments, but there have also been some shocking failures, like summarizing a text message saying “that hike almost killed me” as “attempted suicide.”Apple told the BBC that receiving summaries is optional. If you want to exercise that option, you can disable the feature or alter what apps use it by going to Settings > Notifications > Summarize Notifications.

CES 2025 is the flagship tech extravaganza of the year, a place where many companies from around the globe gather to show off their upcoming offerings. For CES 2025, AMD unveiled the most powerful gaming CPU the company has released yet, offering 16 Zen 5 cores, a maximum boost frequency of 5.7 GHz, and a whopping 144 MB of 2nd-gen AMD V-Cache. AMD is positioning the Ryzen 9 9950X3D as the best choice for those seeking high-fidelity gaming experiences and those who wish to work with content creation toolsets.
