A network-attached storage (NAS) is a device storing lots of data on a central location connected to the LAN. It can also run various services, including a media and web server, and even manage footage recorded from IP security cameras. When shopping around for a NAS server, the onslaught of specifications and jargon can prove overwhelming. I'm going to list all the most popular terms you'll likely come across when shopping for a NAS and setting one up to store all your data.

Alas, Atlas — Netflix’s latest attempt at a hit streaming action movie — takes itself far too seriously. It also fails to really dig into the complexities of the AI debate, despite essentially being a conflict between a friendly AI assistant and machine intent on a doomsday scenario. There are some funny moments, particularly the banter between Lopez and her mechanical companion, but every other part of the movie seems to be fighting against Atlas’ true form. OpenAI unveiled its ChatGPT app for Macs at its most recent launch event where it also unveiled GPT-4o, a multi-modal LLM that manages to be significantly faster than previous iterations of the GPT language model. The Mac application was said to bring most of the features available on iPhones to your desktop, with the biggest being an instant-access hotkey that you can access at any time.

I've always been terrible with keeping plants. One of my major gripes is that plants can't tell you what's wrong with it, or if everything is going smoothly; by the time something has gone horribly wrong, it's often too late to save them. However, someone has fixed this problem by combining AI with a Raspberry Pi to create a plant that will literally tell you if something is wrong.

If you're building a new PC, chances are you've been looking through all the different options from Intel and AMD when it comes to CPUs. While both brands offer a fantastic assortment for nearly every budget, AMD does tend to offer better bang for the buck, especially if you're trying to find a CPU that really excels at gaming.

PC gaming handhelds have been all the rage since Valve dropped its Steam Deck back in 2022. Since then, a lot of major players have entered the ring, with the likes of Asus, Lenovo, and MSI all debuting their own gaming handhelds. Perhaps one of the better out of the bunch is the Asus ROG Ally, offering excellent performance, a fantastic screen, and high compatibility with apps and games thanks to it running Windows.

Given their popularity, Game Boys would have made amazing portable radios. Of course, the tech wasn't around at the time to make it happen, but that doesn't mean someone has found a way to do it anyway. Such is the case of Orange FM, a special cartridge you can plug into a Game Boy to turn it into a portable FM radio.
