Today, GitLab cut off access to Nintendo Switch emulator Suyu, and disabled the accounts of its developers, after receiving what appears to be a scary email in the form of a DMCA takedown request. “GitLab received a DMCA takedown notice from a representative of the rightsholder and followed our standard process outlined here,” spokesperson Kristen Butler tells The Verge. Suyu was a fork of Yuzu, the emulator that Nintendo successfully sued, but this isn’t about Nintendo now having the rights to Yuzu’s code — or maybe even Nintendo at all? Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite chips were announced last year at the company's Snapdragon Summit, and that's been followed with a trickle of information over time such as benchmarks and expected availability. Now, at a GDC session hosted by Qualcomm, Qualcomm engineer Issam Khalil said that emulation will ensure that x86/x64 games will run at full speed on Windows on Arm laptops launching with the Snapdragon X Elite.

AMD showcased FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 3.1, the next iteration of its open-source upscaling and frame generation technology. FSR has struggled to compete against Nvidia's technology, which offers a better upscaling experience with fewer visual artifacts, but this is something AMD has been working on. We'll soon be able to enjoy some welcomed temporal stability improvements.
