At CES 2024, Lenovo revealed its new gaming laptops for the new year. There are a ton of 9th-generation devices from the company that you'll be able to buy this year, including refreshed Legion 9i, Legion 7i, Legion 5i, Legion Slim 5, Legion Pro 7i, and Legion Pro 5i models, with some featuring Intel's latest 14th-generation CPUs. For even more power, there's also the Legion Tower desktops. Those needing more affordable products can also check out some refreshed LOQ laptops. These laptops all have Lenovo's LA AI chips onboard and can enable higher framerates in games.

Asus ROG has been releasing some great portable gaming devices lately, and we were especially impressed with the Asus ROG Ally. Now, the company is giving gamers on the go even more options with some gaming laptops and a new phone.

MSI is joining the party at CES this year, launching a number of key products aimed primarily at gamers. The first is the RTX 4080 Super, announced by Nvidia on Monday alongside the RTX 4070 Ti Super and the 4070 Super. On top of that, the company is also launching the MSI Spatium M580 liquid-cooled SSD and a mesh WI-Fi system.

While MSI might be known for its gaming laptops, the company offered something different at CES 2024. Indeed, the leaks and the rumors were true, and MSI has officially taken the wraps off Claw, their first PC gaming handheld. It's different from the others on the market since Intel's new Meteor Lake CPUs power it, and it sure does look pretty powerful.

Lenovo’s latest attempt, the ThinkBook Plus Gen 5 Hybrid, recognizes that Android has a better touch interface than Windows and that Windows has a better laptop interface than Android — and it combines the two to try to get the best of both worlds. When you’re in laptop mode, the ThinkBook Plus Hybrid functions like a normal Windows laptop. But when you pull the display off the laptop, it turns into an Android tablet. In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the company, which makes the popular game engine Unity, said it’s making the cuts “as it restructures and refocuses on its core business, and to position itself for long-term and profitable growth.”Unity has been through several rounds of layoffs within the past year, with the most recent one affecting 265 workers last November. However, it’s still not clear whether Unity is cutting 1,800 additional workers on top of the layoffs it announced last year.
