This note-taking app has AI built in and never touches the cloud

I didn't expect a self-hosted tool to feel this fast or modern but Blinko made me realize how uncomfortable I'd become trusting every thought to someone else's servers. The Ghostty terminal will finally get a feature people have asked for since 2023

Sometimes, developers get so engrossed with making the best app possible that some of the basics get left behind. KDE Plasma 6.7.0 will make managing your printers a lot easier

Back when I took the plunge and tried my very first immutable operating system, I wasn't sure what the fuss was about. My OS of choice was Fedora Silverblue, and on the surface, I didn't really see the point of immutability. All I really saw was an inability to install things via the console, a layering system people told me not to use because it'd 'defeat the purpose' and that's about it.

Anker’s X1 Pro shouldn’t exist, but I’m so glad it does

The Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro is too weird to exist. It takes the excellent 4K projector and karaoke microphones from Anker's Nebula X1 and stuffs them inside a powerful five-speaker Google TV party on wheels. It's so absurd that it feels like a gadget fever dream - and I'm here...

It takes the excellent 4K projector and karaoke microphones from Anker's Nebula X1 and stuffs them inside a powerful five-speaker Google TV party on wheels. It's so absurd that it feels like a gadget fever dream - and I'm here for it.At the heart of this system is the same liquid-cooled, triple-laser, auto-image-correction-everything projector I reviewed last summer. It's unbelievably quiet for a 3500 ANSI lumen projector that lays claim to the title of being the brightest and most vivid all-in-one portable projector on the market. Now it's also the loudest, with 400W of audio added to the …Read the full story at The Verge.

5 3D prints that improved my PC instead of just decorating it

In a PC build, space is the ultimate currency. Cramming a gaming PC into a tight ITX case is just as hard as making a mid-tower look professional with cable management. The problem is that case manufacturers design for the average user, leaving a lot of dead space or forcing awkward layouts that don't quite meet my specific needs. Historically, fixing these physical constraints required a drill, a Dremel, and workable sheet metal fabrication skills for case modding. The joy of a professional-looking output was reserved for professional modders with hours of experience and an arsenal of tools.

2025 wasn't a great year for Intel. The company laid off a lot of its workers, which included some people who were maintaining Linux drivers within Intel. Unfortunately, once the person who was in charge of tending to a driver was let go, it meant the driver was left in a state of limbo, unless someone came along and 'adopted' it again. Some popular drivers, such as one for the popular temperature tracker CoreTemp, got left in the dust during the layoffs.
