A few months ago, a report came in from a Redditor that Windows 10 showed them a full-screen nag banner to get them to upgrade to Windows 11. However, it didn't seem like everyone got the banner, which may have implied that Microsoft had only rolled it out to select users to see if the feature worked properly. Now, another report has come in stating that Microsoft has included the nag window in a recent update, and if it's correct, it may mean that every Windows 10 user will be pestered to upgrade in the coming weeks.

Today at Computex, AMD is announcing its Ryzen 9000 family of processors, based on the Zen 5 architecture. As usual, there are four SKUs to start with, and the main story is that there's a 16% improvement in IPC over the last generation.

There are many reasons why a sizeable number of people still use Windows 10. And what's even more concerning for Microsoft is that many people were recently found to be switching back from Windows 11 to Windows 10. With Qualcomm's Snapdragon-powered Copilot+ PCs ready to launch, it's competitors don't want to be left out in the cold. AMD has begun announcing its next-gen Ryzen products at Computex today, which are based on Zen 5.

Qualcomm is held its Computex 2024 keynote, focusing on its fresh new Snapdragon X Elite chipsets and Copilot+, as expected. Indeed, the big launch for all of that was just a couple of weeks ago, so there's not much to say that's new.

At AMD's keynote event at Computex in Taipei, the company's CEO, Lisa Su, announced that AMD was partnering with Microsoft to support Copilot+ in the next generation of Windows 11 AI PCs. This is made possible thanks to the NPU in AMD's new 3rd Generation Ryzen AI Strix Point CPUs, which are capable of 50 TOPS of INT8 performance.
