Upon seeing the prompt in a since-deleted tweet on X, formerly Twitter, The Verge confirmed that if you enter $0 in the tip amount in the DoorDash app while placing an order, an alert appears with the below warning, prompting you to add a tip or continue without a tip:Orders with no tip might take longer to get delivered — are you sure you want to continue? Apple has just announced anew generation of MacBook Pro laptops powered by its latest M3 processor line. In other words, Apple’s Scary Fast event met all of our expectations. But while the new model promises a boost in performance, it appears to have plateaued in terms of display quality. This generation sticks to a 3456x2234 resolution display on the 16.2-inch mini-LED panel and a 3024x1964 resolution on the 14.2-inch mini-LED panel. So, no, Apple hasn’t yet made a 4K resolution display part of the standard MacBook Pro feature set. And it probably won’t until battery technology is vastly improved. Otherwise, it would mean an unappealing tradeoff in battery life.

Marathon and Destiny 2’s The Final Shape have been delayed. | Image: Bungie Bungie is laying off around 100 staffers as well as delaying two of its forthcoming titles: Marathon and Destiny 2’s forthcoming expansion, The Final Shape. The latter is now expected to launch in June 2024, while the former won’t be expected until 2025.The layoffs, first reported by Bloomberg, are part of ongoing cuts within Sony’s PlayStation division. Ex-Bungie employees have begun posting on social media about the layoffs, which impact around eight percent of the studio’s workforce. In a series of images posted to X (formerly Twitter), user @phantompainss shows how the updated console stacks against its chunkier counterpart.The new PS5 looks like it’ll have a slightly smaller footprint when compared to the original console. Not only does it have a slimmer profile than the standard PS5, but it’s also a couple of inches shorter as well. Illustration: The Verge Match Group and Google announced a settlement on Tuesday in Match’s lawsuit against the company. The last-minute decision leaves Google scheduled to go up against Fortnite publisher Epic Games alone in an antitrust trial that starts next week, with Epic alleging that Google Play’s payment policies are anticompetitive.Match sued Google in May 2022, alleging the company “illegally monopolized the market” for app distribution with Google Play and imposed an “extortionate tax” with the fees it takes from transactions on the marketplace. Its claims dovetailed with an existing complaint from Epic as well as a coalition of state attorneys general. Headphones have been around forever. You can trace them back all the way to 1891. But headphones that are waterproof, well, that is a much more recent invention. Waterproof headphones arrived in our lives around 2015. Since then, only a handful of manufacturers have ventured into creating the best waterproof headphones for swimming. These differ from the best over-the-ear headphones, or noise canceling headphones, which may have some water resistance, but not enough to be deemed “waterproof.” For that, you want headphones that have at least an IP rating of IPX8 or higher. This means the headphones can withstand being submerged in at least one meters of water for up to a half hour.

Image: Apple In addition to a new iMac, Apple announced new M3-powered versions of the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro during its “Scary Fast” event on Monday. The new laptops can be configured with either the M3, M3 Pro, or M3 Max chip, all of which should offer larger performance gains than the last-gen M2 chip.
