The train station display is the unsung hero of the rail network. It's always giving us up-to-date information on when we can expect our trains, but we rarely give it the props that it truly deserves. Without them, we don't know if our next train is in one minute or in one hour.

NotebookLM is everybody’s favorite AI research assistant, but I also use it in my day-to-day productivity. I’ve started offloading a bunch of repetitive mental chores that used to require several different apps, tens of open browser tabs, and additional focus. But why put so much effort into small tasks when an AI tool can speed them up tenfold? In a way, NotebookLM has become my second brain.

AI is a huge help when you have to deal with long notes and files. It makes it easier to go through your notes. Even if those notes are in Obsidian, you can still go through them faster and save time by having a community plugin like Copilot help you. Once you set it up, it’s very easy to use, and you can ask it anything and get a concise response in the right pane.

When Microsoft first announced the Windows 10 Extended Security Updates (ESU), it felt like a great lifeline for people who didn't want to upgrade to Windows 11 just yet. The idea is that people can either make a Windows 10 backup using OneDrive, spend 1,000 Microsoft Points, or pay $30 to get another full year of security updates, allowing them to continue connecting their PC to the internet without fear of day-zero attacks affecting their device.

I have a lot of different smart displays and gadgets around my home, but some of the best and most simplest are the ePaper displays that I have a significant number of. I have the XIAO ePaper Panel which started it all, the reTerminal E1001/E1002, and the TRMNL DIY display. The TRMNL DIY display is a particularly interesting one, as it doesn't even come with a case: as the name implies, you build it yourself. That's why I put mine in a photo frame.

If I had to point to a specific part of Linux that convinced me to use it over Windows after so many years, it'd be a toss-up between the Fedora distro and KDE Plasma. The former is nice and stable, while the latter offers an enjoyable, customizable Linux experience, so the fact that you can just download a Fedora KDE Plasma spin was a perfect match for me.

Though I've used NotebookLM for all sorts of weird experiments since the day I stumbled across it, like using it to watch a show, finally learning how to brew the perfect cup of coffee, and even turning it into a brainrot Subway Surfer tutor, the very first thing I actually did was use it for studying.

The 10th anniversary of the release of Fallout 4 finally arrives on November 10th, 2025, and fans have been celebrating it in different ways. Whether it was remembering their favorite moments playing the game or dressing up as their favorite characters, there's a lot of love going around for the Fallout series. This couldn't have come at a more perfect time, now that Fallout has been pushed further into the mainstream with the ongoing live-action Fallout series that streams on Prime Video. Between that and all the other extra content released for games like Fallout 76 and Fallout Shelter, it's a great time to be a vault dweller. But there's one thing that hasn't been considered that would be something interesting to see done by Bethesda.

Most of us focus on the average frames per second (FPS) while gaming, but that number doesn't always tell the full story. You could be running some competitive titles at over 200 FPS and still feel like the game isn't smooth enough. For instance, when I played Battlefield REDSEC recently, I could immediately tell the game felt jittery during intense gunfights, even though I was getting over 130 FPS. That's because high frame rates don't automatically guarantee consistent frame delivery or near-instant input response.

In a world where pretty much every app and service has massively changed over the years, browsers are something that have sort of stayed stagnant. You open them, type in a URL, and you get a search result. That’s it. There’s not much excitement or innovation left there. Or at least, that’s what I thought for the longest time, until AI browsers started popping up.

We've come a long way with our screenshotting tools, haven't we? It feels like only yesterday that our only option was to hit the Print Screen key, paste the result into an image editor, and then annotate it with arrows, circles, and text. It was a clunky, long process, but we didn't have much choice.

Rodriguez Carrillo/Getty Images The second launch of Blue Origin’s partially reusable New Glenn rocket was scrubbed on Sunday due to adverse weather conditions, delaying NASA’s latest Mars mission. The Jeff Bezos-owned commercial space company announced that its next launch window from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida will be attempted “no earlier” than Wednesday, November 12th, between 2:50PM and 4:17PM ET.This is a significant launch for the 320-foot-tall megarocket, which is tasked with sending NASA’s twin ESCAPADE (Escape and Plasma Acceleration and Dynamics Explorers) probes into space — the first Mars-bound mission since NASA launched its Perseverance and Ingenuity vehicles in 2020 to explore the red planet’s surface. The ESCAPADE satellites are projected to reach Mars orbit in 2027, where they will measure the planet’s magnetic field and atmosphere.This will also be Blue Origin’s latest attempt to land New Glenn’s reusable first-stage booster, which, much like SpaceX’s Falcon rocket boosters, is designed to vertically touch down on a sea-based platform following launch. While Blue Origin successfully launched New Glenn for the first time in January after several delays, the booster was lost during its landing descent. A successful launch and landing would help Blue Origin to prove itself as a deep-space launch provider that’s capable of competing with established rivals like SpaceX and United Launch Alliance.Blue Origin says it worked with the Federal Aviation Administration to select its latest launch window, having seemingly been given an exemption to new FAA rules that prohibit commercial rockets from being launched between 6AM and 10PM. This emergency order came into effect on November 10th to alleviate air traffic congestion during the ongoing government shutdown. If all goes to plan, the live webcast for New Glenn’s second flight will start 20 minutes prior to launch on Wednesday.
